Biography
Rana Yaacoub leads communications, marketing, and special events at CED. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, she immigrated to the United States in 2018. With over a decade of experience in communications, branding, events, and operations, Rana has worked across conferences, agencies, and educational institutions. Her global background and work with diverse international markets bring a rich strategic and cultural perspective to her role.
She holds a master’s degree in communication and information and a bachelor’s degree in educational sciences from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
Rana’s husband, Ghassan, teaches creative writing at Oberlin College, and together they are raising their two daughters, Alma and Mira, along with their cats, Mishmush (“apricot” in Arabic) and Rosa. Outside of work, Rana enjoys spending time with her family and is collaborating with her husband on a series of children’s books that celebrate the Arab American experience; an effort inspired by their wish for their daughters to see themselves reflected in the stories they read.
