In preparation for their New York engagement at Carnegie Hall, the Oberlin Orchestra with the Oberlin Choir, Musical Union, and Gospel Choir performed the complete program on January 17 in Oberlin’s Finney Chapel with soloists soprano Chabrelle Williams ’09, mezzo-soprano Ronnita Miller, tenor Limmie Pulliam ’98, and baritone Eric Greene.

The ensembles also presented the program on campus in October 2022 (pictured above), with soloist Pulliam joined by faculty soprano Mathilda Edge, guest mezzo-soprano Krysty Swann, and faculty baritone Timothy LeFebvre.

Prior to its school visits and performances in New York City, the Oberlin Sonny Rollins Jazz Ensemble presented a rare performance in the ’Sco, the student club located on the lower level of Wilder Hall. The January 15 engagement previewed music that surfaced days later on the stage of Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola.
