The Double Degree Program
Oberlin’s Double Degree Program combines a thorough liberal arts education with exceptional preprofessional music training. In five years or fewer, double-degree students complete work for the Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music and the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. About 40 students enter this program each year.
The Double Degree Program is an option for students who want to expand their possibilities for life beyond Oberlin. Many graduates go on to careers that run the gamut from professional musicians to business professionals. The advantage is that they are well prepared for whatever profession they choose.
