OCMC: Making Interdisciplinary Learning More Accessible

The Oberlin College Media Center (OCMC) is Oberlin’s first creative media literacy, collaboration, and experimentation hub. At OCMC, student staff, known as media associates, provide workshops, playshops, drop-in lab assistance, and course support to help integrate arts and technology across curriculum, organizations, and independent projects.

Randal Doane Speaks at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Randal Doane, assistant dean of studies, will speak at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archive on January 22 at 7 p.m. Doane’s talk, “Hitsville, USA: How The Clash Broke America and Gave Our Adolescence a Whole Lotta Love,” focuses on key themes discussed throughout his recent book, Stealing All Transmissions: A Secret History of The Clash.

Oberlin College Receives National Recognition for Community Service

Oberlin College earned a place on the 2014 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in the Interfaith Community Service category and secured a place on the Honor Roll in both the General Community Service and Education categories. This is the eighth consecutive year Oberlin College has received the honor.
