Oberlin’s Commitment to Climate Action

In the lead-up to the international climate talks in Paris, our college reiterated its commitment to climate action in a letter to the Obama administration, and our faculty affirmed Oberlin’s commitment to sustainability and combating climate change by approving an implementation plan for achieving our goals of becoming carbon neutral by 2025.

Honoring Retired Ombudsperson Yeworkwha Belachew (YB)

Yeworkwha Belachew (YB) has been a pillar of this community for the past 35 years. In October, we honored her by renaming the OCDC as the Yeworkwha Belachew Center for Dialogue at Oberlin College. We honor her today by creating a new staff award that will bear her name.
