Biography

Mítia Ganade D’Acol is a music theorist interested in the effect dance and music have on emotional experience. His work incorporates aspects from dance studies, music theory, and cognitive sciences and focuses primarily on operatic music of the French baroque period. Ganade D’Acol has also published and presented papers on other repertoires such as late 18th-century German opera and 18th-century Brazilian music. Ganade D’Acol has also served as coeditor of the Indiana Theory Review from 2021 to 2023.
