Biography

Gerry is the Associate Director for Career Development, where she leads the design and delivery of the center’s career development curriculum and oversees its Inclusive Excellence programs. In this role, she is committed to ensuring that every student gains the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to thrive in their unique career journey.

Of Afro-Caribbean Latinx descent, Gerry is also an accomplished human rights law practitioner and international development specialist. With over 20 years of global experience, she has led efforts to advance gender equality and promote the rule of law — often in complex, conflict-affected settings across East Africa, Latin America and Southeast Europe.

In her personal time, Gerry enjoys channeling her creativity at writers’ retreats and creating culinary memories with family and friends.
