Gavin Girard ’25

Biography

After graduating from Oberlin in 2025, I couldn’t be happier to be back in the same town where I met lifelong friends, engaged with an eclectic community, and immersed myself in the unique opportunities and experiences that make Oberlin so special.

As a student, I was a member of the varsity men’s lacrosse team and experienced firsthand what it means to be a student-athlete at a college that values both academics and athletics. Off the field, I worked as a student assistant in the sports information department and at the Dionysus Disco, Oberlin’s own campus bar and music venue, while also being an active member of Oberlin’s chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Oberlin was where I learned, grew, and built lasting relationships. Now, I’m thrilled to help the next generation of Obies find their fit, whether it be through a campus visit, a high school meeting, or simply a conversation about their interests and dreams for the future.
