In her public talk, “Elena Ferrante: A More-than-Human Identity,” Enrica Ferrara (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland) examines contemporary Italian writer Elena Ferrante’s literary works to explore how female characters build their identity by means of interaction with the non-human world, thus effectively pursuing a process of posthuman “becoming.”

Enrica Ferrara is an Irish Italian scholar, translator, and award-winning writer, as well as a leading expert on Italo Calvino and on Elena Ferrante.
