Audition for Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang, Directed by Gabriel Semrau ’27.

Auditions are held on April 1, 3, and 4. Callbacks on April 5. Please prepare a one-minute contemporary comedic monologue. Memorization encouraged but not required.

About Yellow Face: A satirical and semi-autobiographical comedy that follows Asian-American playwright DHH as he protests yellow face casting in the Broadway musical Miss Saigon, only to accidentally cast a white actor as an Asian man in his own play. Meanwhile his father, a banker, gets caught up in the “Chinagate” scandal of 1996.

Additional information can be found at this link.

To sign up for an audition slot, use this form. If you are unable to attend auditions in person, please submit a self tape to this Box folder by 4:30 p.m. (EDT) on April 3.
