About the Oberlin-Como Piano Program
Started in 2016, the Oberlin-Como piano program is an exclusive partnership between Oberlin Conservatory and the International Piano Academy Lake Como in Italy. Each year, Oberlin Conservatory piano students are selected by audition to work with world-renowned guest artist-teachers and Oberlin faculty in intensive master classes at Oberlin throughout the academic year.
All master classes and recitals presented as part of the Oberlin-Como piano program are free and open to the public. Past Oberlin-Como artist-teachers have included Emanuel Ax, MarcAndré Hamelin, Robert Spano, Richard Goode, Tamás Vásáry, Peter Frankl, and Paul Badura-Skoda.
