University of Chicago professor Darya Tsymbalyuk, the author of Ecocide in Ukraine: The Environmental Cost of Russia’s War, will give a talk about her book on April 15 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Hallock Auditorium in the AJLC. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session for the audience to ask further questions about the ecological impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and her research methods. Lunch will be provided!

The day before, on April 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Professor Tsymbalyuk will also be hosting an artist workshop in the Arb by Professor Street entrance (in the case of rain, the event will be moved to the Tappan Square Bandstand). This event is open to all students, regardless of artistic experience, and will be an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with the environment and make art collaboratively.
