Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programs

Oberlin’s entrepreneurship programs connect students with a diverse group of constituents including alumni in a variety of fields, friends of the college, and local specialists in innovation and business. Through experiential learning, cocurricular activities, and expert coaching, students are challenged to hone their intellectual and artistic passions.

Breakthrough Schools Internship

The Entrepreneurship office continues to create and offer meaningful and challenging internship opportunities for Oberlin students. Currently, we are in our second year of Financial Research and Analysis internships with Breakthrough Schools.

This semester-long internship places five or more Oberlin Students on a financial modeling project working directly with the Chief Financial Officer on a weekly basis. The purpose of modeling Breakthrough’s long-term financial planning is to ultimately drive improvement of Breakthrough student performance.  Ultimately, the Oberlin students create detailed analysis, assumptions and financial recommendations to the CFO and his team.
