Biography
Hello! I am so excited that you are interested in Oberlin College. I first heard about Oberlin when I received a mailer detailing many of the amazing things we have going on here. I initially put it into the pile of other college mail. As I continued my college search and narrowed down my criteria, Oberlin just kept popping up. I went to a pretty small high school and knew that I wanted to continue my education somewhere my professors would know my name and I’d have easy access to them. I also wanted to remain close to music, whether it be playing it, attending concerts, or learning about it. And finally, I wanted to get away from Los Angeles for a bit and immerse myself in a place entirely different. I found all of these things, and so much more, throughout my four years here!
I applied to Oberlin through Early Decision, and that was truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I graduated with a BA in Politics and Law & Society, an integrative concentration in Business, and a minor in Music. I became a tour guide the second semester of my first year and continued to immerse myself in Admissions, eventually becoming a Senior Fellow my fourth year. Around campus I was a member of the Dean of Students Advisory Board, Student Senate, Student Honor Committee, Community Board, Dining Advisory Committee, Club Tennis Team, Moot Court Team, and I worked as a legal assistant in the General Counsel’s Office. Around Oberlin you can find me playing and hosting trivia at the Slow Train Cafe and performing with our community wind ensemble – any other euphonium players please say hi! I’m very excited to be staying on as an Admissions Counselor at the institution that has given me so much.
Please do not hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
