Olive

Olive is a fourth-year student with an individual major in Critical Social Theory from Brooklyn, NY. This year they will be researching and writing a capstone examining the function of desire in socialist feminist theories of futurity.

Olive has been involved in dance academically and through extracurricular engagement since their first semester, both choreographing their own work and performing in other students’ works. They have branched out into other forms of performance, multimedia, film and theater when something especially interesting comes along (which it often does!). Olive currently serves as the vice chair of the Oberlin Democratic Socialists, does ticket sales for Central Ticket Service, and is in the kickboxing club.
