Juliana

Juliana (she/her) is a fourth-year Geosciences and Politics double major with an Environmental Studies minor. She is from Bethesda, Maryland, and has worked for Admissions since her first year. She is a Teaching Assistant in the Geosciences Department and has worked in three Geoscience labs, where she is currently researching structural geology in the Appalachian Mountains. Last spring, she traveled to Queensland, Australia for a semester abroad, where she studied rainforest and marine ecology and produced an individual research paper on environmental conditions impacting substrate on coral reefs.

Around Oberlin, Juliana can be found testing rock samples as a Lab Technician at the Natural Stone Institute, losing trivia at Slow Train Cafe, going for walks and bike rides, playing steel pan in Oberlin Steel, and singing in the Oberlin Gospel Choir, the Acapelicans, and That’s What She Sang, Oberlin’s only female barbershop quartet.
