Carly (she/her) is a fourth-year pre-med student from Houston, Texas, majoring in biochemistry and psychology. Outside the Admissions Office, she works with Professor Frantz on research exploring systems thinking among generalist and specialist physicians. She is also a founding member and liaison for Oberlin Fashion Club and an editor for SYNAPSE, an intercollegiate STEM magazine that combines her interests in art and science.
Her favorite spots on campus are the Oberlin Arboretum and The Local Coffee. As a Houston native, she especially enjoys experiencing Oberlin’s changing seasons and its many fall traditions. Outside of academics, she loves hosting movie nights with friends, and one of her favorite Oberlin memories is making hot pot with friends after dance practice. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career as a primary care physician and build meaningful, lasting relationships with her patients.
