Microsoft Office Transitioning to Okta Single Sign-On

Center for Information Technology

On Tuesday, April 7, Microsoft Office 365 — both desktop and web-based versions — will be integrated with Okta. This means that you will have to sign in with your ObieID and password to use Office.

Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Office on the web require periodic login to re-authorize your license. You may not be prompted immediately, but the next time you are due to log in, you will see the Oberlin Okta single sign-on page instead of Microsoft's standard sign-in page. If you have multi-factor authentication set for your account, you will also be challenged with your second factor.
