In-Person Campus Visits

We are closely monitoring the evolving public health situation at local, state, and national levels on a regular basis in order to determine whether and when we can safely offer in-person campus visits for prospective families. Visit opportunities will be added to our registration page for any dates when we are able to safely accommodate guests. As we monitor the COVID-19 situation our priority remains the safety of our students, staff, and visitors. With this in mind, please be aware that we may need to change or cancel admission events as new information becomes available.

Visit Availability

Guided Oberlin campus and conservatory tours are currently available for admitted students for the fall of 2021 only. We will resume tours for prospective students (high school juniors and younger) starting in May. In the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of our virtual programming to get to know Oberlin better!

Visit Procedures

Procedures and requirements have been put in place to protect the health of our visitors, staff, and students. We are following guidance from our local health officials and advising potential visitors to review information provided by the CDC regarding domestic travel during COVID-19.

As the situation changes and new information becomes available, we may need to change or cancel admissions events. Campus tours will be exterior/outside only until further notice.

COVID-19 Guidelines for Admissions Visits

Arts & Sciences Tour Registration

So that we can offer the safest and most positive visit experience, registration for a campus visit is required. Campus tours are currently available for admitted students and their families only through April 30th and will be limited to two (2) families per tour guide. Campus tours for prospective students are available after May 1st.

Walk-in visitors who arrive and do not have a scheduled appointment will be offered a campus map and given the opportunity for a self-guided tour.

Conservatory and Double Degree Tour Registration

The conservatory tour will explore all major areas of the conservatory complex, including recital halls and practice spaces. Currently, conservatory tours will be conducted outside, following the perimeter of the complex.

Admitted Conservatory and Double Degree students should register for a Conservatory tour; the Conservatory Admissions Office is offering short outdoor campus tours following the main conservatory tour for those who are interested.

The format of the tours may be adapted for health and/or weather reasons depending on current circumstances. In consideration of current public health guidelines, each conservatory tour will be limited to two (2) families per tour guide. Registration is required.
