Trecia Pottinger became director of the Bonner Center in 2016, overseeing curricular and cocurricular community engagement programs that connect students, staff, faculty, and community partners. Since 2011 she has served as the program director of the Bonner Scholars Program. She also manages the Connect Cleveland orientation program.

Before coming to Oberlin, she worked at Bryn Mawr College where she advised students in the Undergraduate Dean’s Office and co-coordinated the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program. Her research focuses on African American history in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
