The Recorder Program at BPI offers exciting new possibilities this year. Led by Anne Timberlake, the program will feature daily morning masterclass and technique sessions for all recorder students.

During the afternoon, recorder students will be able to select from two possible paths, choosing either Baroque Ensemble or Consort. Baroque Ensemble students will participate in mixed-instrument, coached chamber ensembles and will perform on the Saturday Student Recital. The Baroque Ensemble path is recommended only for advanced students.  Consort Program students will participate in daily, coached consort sessions and will also perform on the Saturday Student Recital. The Consort Program is recommended for students whose skills are intermediate and above.

Oberlin owns a fine collection of renaissance and baroque recorders which may be used in some ensembles. Michael Lynn and Anne Timberlake will both be available for private lessons.
