Biography

Sean serves as Associate Director of Student Involvement. He is responsible for leading the 'Sco and Cat in the Cream student staff and venues, oversight of Concert Sound, Program Board, events sponsored by the OSLI, and administration of the GOberlin student organization database. He serves as advisor to several student organizations and loves helping students and his staff grow and develop into critical thinkers and leaders. Within the OSLI, Sean operates as a guide and resource for student organizations and departments in both on-campus and off-campus program creation and implementation. Sean truly enjoys assisting others in creating memorable and fun experiences and opportunities to interact by empowering them with tools for success! Additionally, Sean is a member of the A&PS Orientation and Social Committees, which provide opportunities for our professional staff to connect and become a more integral part of our community.

Before his current position, Sean was a member of Oberlin ResLife when he joined the college in 2010. He started in higher education at John Carroll University, followed by the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, OH. He took a short sabbatical from higher education to run his own successful Real Estate business full-time for seven years before returning to his original calling of helping young adults develop and grow.

Sean is a native of Northeast Ohio and enjoys spending time with family, singing at church choir, volunteering for his children's activities, being outside, Lake Erie, and going on trips to America's Roller Coast - Cedar Point!

Movie Night at Dick Bailey Field
