Biography

I am currently a graduate student in the counseling psychology program at the University of Akron, where I am working toward a PhD. I also earned BS degrees in psychology and sociology with minors in disabilities studies and music from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). I have lived in Ohio for the past few years, though I grew up in New Jersey.

My therapeutic approach is very collaborative. It is a value of mine to create a safe space, in which my clients feel they can be authentic and genuine. I hope to empower my clients, which is why I work from a feminist and multicultural perspective. Additionally, I often work from an interpersonal framework, which emphasizes the importance of connection and community.

I am interested in working with clients who are exploring their identities/experiences and would like a space to feel supported in doing so. There is no right or wrong candidate for therapy. I have previously worked with clients of color and LGBTQ+ clients who had concerns pertaining to trauma, grief, interpersonal distress, body/self image, anxiety, and depression.
