Biography

Pronounce my name

NiK Peavy joined Oberlin College & Conservatory in November of 2022. In their current role, NiK works to create spaces for students who hold historically marginalized identities to build community with a focus on LGBTQ+ students as well as women.

They most recently came from the College of Wooster as the Director of Sexuality & Gender Initiatives, where they collaborated with queer & trans students across campus to design fun, educational, & community-oriented activities. NiK has a passion for helping students learn how to advocate for themselves & is committed to creating spaces where people with marginalized identities can be themselves.

Outside of work, NiK loves to learn new skills & collect hobbies such as pottery, sewing, & printmaking. They love tabletop games, reading graphic novels, & hanging out with their two cats, Dean & Milo.
