Biography

Pronounce my name

NiK Peavy joined Oberlin College and Conservatory in November of 2022. In their current role, NiK works to create spaces for students who hold historically marginalized identities to build community with a focus on LGBTQ+ students as well as women.

They most recently came from the College of Wooster as the Director of Sexuality and Gender Initiatives, where they collaborated with queer and trans students across campus to design fun, educational, and community-oriented activities. NiK has a passion for helping students learn how to advocate for themselves and is committed to creating spaces where people with marginalized identities can be themselves.

Outside of work, NiK loves to learn new skills and collect hobbies such as pottery, sewing, and printmaking. They love tabletop games, reading graphic novels, and hanging out with their two cats, Dean and Milo.
