Name: Katie Gravens

Department and location on campus: Cox Administration Building in the President's Office

Job title: COVID-19 Campus Health Coordinator

What does your job entail? Co-coordinating the COVID-19 health pillar with David Hertz, chief of staff, and Emily Speerbrecher, COVID-19 project coordinator. In my role, I coordinate the vaccination effort, contact tracing, COVID-19 health communications, and consulting with the Lorain Health Department regarding changes in strategy and questions regarding the need for isolation and quarantine.

How many years at Oberlin? This temporary position began in August 2020, and was created due to the pandemic.  

What are your hobbies? Traveling, walking, hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with my grandsons, Jack and Connor.

Nickname(s)? COVID-Katie

Favorite food? I like all food, especially if I don't have to make it!

Favorite Quote? "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples," by Mother Teresa.
