Three Concerto Competition Winners to Perform in April, May

Three of the four winners of the 2014 Concerto Competition will perform with ensembles over the second half of the spring semester.
Pianist Marika Yasuda will perform the Barber Piano Concerto with the Oberlin Orchestra on Saturday, April 11.
Clarinetist Jesse McCandless will perform the Nielsen Clarinet Concerto with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra on Tuesday, May 5.
Senior pianist Yihui Liu will perform Prokofiev’s second piano concerto with the Oberlin Orchestra on Friday, May 8.
All three performances begin at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel and will be live-streamed at oberlin.edu. The fourth winner, pianist San Jittakarn, performed Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Oberlin Orchestra on Friday, December 5.
