Oberlin's Collegium Musicum to Perform May 4 in Columbus

Collegium Musicum of Oberlin College, a choir that specializes in liturgical music of the 16th century, visits Columbus on Sunday, May 4, for a 3:30 p.m. performance in the Saint Turibius Chapel of the Pontifical College Josephinum, located at 7625 N. High Street in Columbus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Titled Musica Britannica: Liturgical Music of the Tudors, the concert will include music from the sumptuous Eton Choirbook, as well as Christopher Tye's Missa Euge Bone and motets by William Byrd and John Sheppard.
Founded in the early 1960s, Collegium Musicum has been under the direction of Professor of Musicology Steven Plank since 1990.
