The spring 2013 Convocation Series kicks off Thursday, February 7, with influential scholars Kwame Anthony Appiah and Johnnetta Cole ’57. The Convocation Series presents free, public discussions of cutting-edge issues by some of the country’s most prominent thinkers. The talks take place in Finney Chapel. Other speakers this spring are Harold Varmus, co-recipient of the Nobel Prize for studies of the genetic basis of cancer; physicist Lisa Randall; and architect Maya Lin.
