Historic Ride Comes to an End

During the May 9 NCAC tournament elimination game, senior Robin Witjes belted a walk-off single to the gap in left center in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift the Oberlin College baseball team to a thrilling 6-5 victory over Denison University. The victory marked the first playoff win in school history.

This season the Oberlin College baseball team set a new school record—22-21 overall—and made Oberlin’s first ever trip to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. The Yeomen’s historic run came to an end Friday afternoon with a 6-5 loss to Allegheny in the semifinals. Read more.
