David Orr to Receive Green Energy Ohio Lifetime Achievement Award

Green Energy Ohio (GEO) will present David Orr, Paul Sears distinguished professor of environmental studies, professor of politics, and senior adviser to the president, with a Green Energy Ohio Lifetime Achievement Award. GEO is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting environmentally and economically sustainable energy policies and practices in Ohio. The award recognizes Orr’s contributions to promoting green energy policy, including the eight books and more than 200 articles he has written; the hundreds of lectures he has given worldwide; and his work with the Adam Joseph Lewis Center, named one of 30 milestone buildings of the 20th century by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Orr will receive his honorary award plaque at the GEO Awards presentation on April 7 at the Ohio Green Energy Policy Conference, the state’s first-ever in-depth conference focusing on more than a dozen green energy policy issues.
