Included in this first edition of Oberlin OnCampus' coverage of winter term 2014 are submissions from around the globe and close to home. And we've included information on how you can share your winter-term experiences with the Oberlin community.

I joined a group of more than 100 college and university presidents from across the country on January 16 for a day-long summit meeting at the White House about the need to launch an action plan for increasing college access and success for low-income and disadvantaged students.

On Sunday, February 9, eight national experts on endowment and socially responsible investing will take part in a day-long examination of strategies for investing, divesting, and effecting social change through investment. The day’s discussions are free and open to all members of the campus community and the public.
