Biography

Meghana Suchak joined the Counseling and Psychological Services team at Oberlin College and Conservatory in 2026 as the director of Counseling and Psychological Services. Suchak is a counseling psychologist with more than a decade of experience in clinical work across collegiate mental health and medical settings. Suchak enjoys working with students who want to better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and navigate major life transitions with more clarity and self-trust. Suchak provides individual therapy and consultation and offers supervision and mentorship to psychologists-in-training and other clinical staff.

Before coming to Oberlin, Suchak worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Suchak completed an American Psychological Association-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Counseling Center in 2014. Suchak earned a BA at Mumbai University, a master’s degree at Monash University, and a PhD in counseling psychology at Purdue University. Suchak’s clinical interests include identity development, coping with chronic illness, LGBTQ+ concerns, and supporting international students as they navigate cultural transitions, belonging, and stress.
