Biography

As the Stacks Manager and Evening Supervisor at the Oberlin Conservatory Library, Kyler oversees shelving and physical organization of the library’s extensive music score and book collections, manages student workers, and ensures smooth evening operations and patron support. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Ohio University, a master’s degree in music history, and a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Kent State University, with a focus on music librarianship. An active member of the Music Library Association (MLA), Kyler serves as the coordinator for the MLA’s Video Game Music Interest Group, advocating for the recognition and inclusion of video game music within academic libraries and music scholarship.
