Biography
Kate has a multidisciplinary background in public health, health education, and women’s and gender studies, grounded in her professional and personal work dedicated to advancing equity, preventing violence, and building community- centered systems of care.
She has worked in research administration at The Ohio State University and ACUHO-I, student affairs at Kent State University, and women’s health centers. Across these roles, Kate has worked with diverse populations in both educational and community settings, often supporting individuals through crisis while also shaping long-term, prevention-focused strategies.
Kate is a familiar face around Oberlin, known for bringing people together through wellness and educational events and community gatherings. She loves calling Oberlin home, where you’ll find her volunteering with local scouting groups, cheering for youth sports + theater, or at the local library.
