Ivana Di Siena

  • Senior Lecturer of Italian

  • MA, La Sapienza, 1998

I have been at Oberlin College since February 1999. I teach Italian 101 (Beginning Italian I), 102 (Beginning Italian II) and 203 (Italiano Intermedio Accellerato). I also offer Private Readings in Italian Literature, Cinema History and intermediate and advanced Italian. I like to have a culturally rich environment during classes and I love to share with students all the useful information and experiences I have from my cultural and linguistic background. To improve oral and written communication, reading and listening skills, students have the opportunity to watch weekly Italian movies, to attend the "Tavola italiana" or Italian table and the required conversational classes. Students are also encouraged to use the huge selection of Italian material available in the Language Lab, in the Library and on the World Wide Web.
