The Investment Policy is authorized by the Oberlin College Board of Trustees to be the governing document of the Oberlin College Endowment. The Endowment is a pool of assets that, as directed by restrictions of donors (permanent endowment) or decisions of the board (quasi endowment), is to be held in perpetuity for the benefit of the college’s mission.

The policy is designed to meet the endowment’s regulatory requirements and to ensure that the board and other interested parties are fully aware of the endowment’s return objectives, risk parameters, investment strategies, and relation to the college’s spending policies.
