Residence Life Survey: Next Steps
Thank you to all students who completed our Residence Life Student Satisfaction Survey. We appreciate your feedback and thoughtful ideas to make Oberlin a more comfortable, welcoming place for students today and for years to come.
Teams in Residence Life, Facilities Operations, the Center for Information Technology, and other key campus offices are processing your input, and plans are under way to address issues you reported.
As this work continues, Residence Life and Facilities Operations are identifying opportunities for furniture upgrades in student spaces, based on the success of recent furniture additions in Lord-Saunders and Tank Hall. Other issues we're examining include improved custodial efficiency and more proactive maintenance within and around residence halls.
Also this year, CIT has been updating wifi connectivity, with plans for improvement in numerous locations continuing through the summer and beyond.
If you are in need of support with campus spaces or have other concerns at any time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in these ways:
CIT: For issues with your OCID, mobile access, wifi, or network connectivity, submit a CIT support ticket.
FACILITIES: For cleaning requests, room or building maintenance, or other maintenance needs, submit a Facilities support ticket through TOPDesk.
CAMPUS SAFETY: For parking, bike registration, escorts, and other safety needs, contact Campus Safety at 440- 775-844 or email campus.safety@oberlin.edu.
RESIDENCE LIFE: For Residence Life and Housing Operations—including housing selection, housing over breaks, residential programming, and other Residence Life topics—write to us at reslife@oberlin.edu.
We will be using the summer to review your feedback and make improvements wherever possible, and we look forward to sharing updates in the months ahead. Best wishes for a happy and safe summer!
