Biography

Felicia Muhammad is an educator, DEI strategist, and multicultural advocate. She is passionate about cultivating inclusive environments, empowering diverse communities, and advancing equity that goes beyond buzzwords. With a background across K–12 education, higher education, the public library system, and corporate DEI consulting, Felicia brings both heart and strategy to the work of institutional transformation. In her current role, she designs and implements programs that build community, foster cultural understanding, empower historically marginalized student populations.

She earned a BA in secondary education and English at Valparaiso University and was honored with the Gold Star Award during her time at Heights Libraries for being an “unsung hero.” Felicia currently supports students through campuswide multicultural programming at Oberlin College and Conservatory. She roots her programmatic approach in cultural humility, deep curiosity, radical empathy, and joy. Felicia also coleads the Oberlin Interfaith Community Employee Resource Group. 

Outside of her professional roles, Felicia can usually be found exploring new restaurants, rewatching comfort TV, reading a romance novel, hanging out with loved ones, and spoiling her two beloved dogs. Throughout her personal and professional life, Felicia strives to make people feel seen, valued, and empowered.
