Teach-In: What is academic freedom? Why should we care? And what can we do to protect it?

As academic freedom and university autonomy are under threat around the world, US colleges and universities are facing direct attacks from state legislatures and the federal government. Yet they are finding their defenses compromised, with both tenure and faculty governance eroded by decades of steady corporatization.
