Inauguration of President Carmen Twillie Ambar

On October 5, 2018, Oberlin College installed Carmen Twillie Ambar as Oberlin’s 15th president.

Inauguration offers an opportunity to invest in the institution and embrace our mission, but more important, grabs hold of the opportunity to lead. We can celebrate that which makes Oberlin unique, and pause to reflect on how our leadership distinguishes us as a world class liberal arts college and conservatory of music. To learn more, watch the inauguration announcement.

The cochairs of the inauguration planning committee are Associate Professor of Africana Studies Meredith Gadsby and Associate Professor of Music Theory Jan Miyake. The committee is headquartered in Bosworth 005. You can contact the committee at ext. 56785 or inauguration@oberlin.edu.
