Leah Flax Barber ’18 and Will Schutt ’03 will give a poetry reading on Monday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m. in Dye Lecture Hall.

Leah Flax Barber is a writer from Chicago. She earned an MFA in poetry at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and a BA in comparative literature at Oberlin College where she won the Emma Howell Poetry Prize. Her first book of poetry, The Mirror of Simple Souls, was published by Winter Editions in 2025. 

Will Schutt is an award-winning poet and literary translator based in Rome. He is the author of Westerly (Yale University Press) and the translator, from Italian, of numerous volumes of prose and poetry. He earned degrees at Oberlin College and Hollins University. He is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Translation Fellowship, the Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship, and the Raiziss/de Palchi Award from the Academy of American Poets.
