The Oberlin Film Society (OFS) will screen City of God (2002), a Brazilian crime epic directed by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund. Set in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, the film charts the rise of organized crime through the lives of young residents. Known for its kinetic energy and brutal realism, it’s one of the most acclaimed films of the 2000s.
