"Jana and Jan" Film Screening in Kade

The German department will be screening Helmut Dziuba’s Jana and Jan (1991), an unlikely love story that develops against the backdrop of tectonic political shifts. Filmed in real juvenile detention centers of the GDR (East Germany) with mostly non-professional actors. In German with English subtitles.

The screening is held in conjunction with GERM/GSFS 325: Reproductive Tales (Prof. Olesya Ivantsova) and is open to everyone.
