George Jones Farm Bioblitz

Join us for a bioblitz! All ages & experiences welcome to drop in, learn about native species of flora, fauna, & fungi, & contribute to community science! 

Bioblitzes are community-based science events that take place over a very short period of time (in the case of our bioblitz, over the course of one day). The goal of these events is to gather information on the biodiversity of an area- the number and types of plants, animals, and fungi present. You can drop in at anytime and stay for as long as you choose! We will also have an earlier morning walk focusing specifically on looking for birds (7:30-8:45am) and a nighttime walk looking for animals like frogs that are more active at night (8:30-9:30pm). Water and refreshments provided, dress to be outdoors!
