Join Max Julius and Abigail Bobrow—alumni of this annual trip—for a weekend of hands‑on work in an urban food‑forest garden at a humble abode in Marietta, Ohio. We’ll be building two walkways and mulching the gardens to protect the plants through winter.
Alongside the physical work, we’ll spend time discussing strategies for hope and resiliency in the face of uncertain and often frightening times. This trip has become a tradition since Sionainn Rudek led the first one following his internship with Blue Rock Station.
Annie Warmke, founder and former steward of Blue Rock Station and current owner of Warmke Farm, will serve as our mentor. Her partner, Jay Warmke, will share his perspectives on energy, community, and hope for the future.
