Biography

Eric Farnan enjoys a varied musical career as Ensemble Librarian at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and as a double bass and electric bass performer. Since moving to Cleveland in 2015, Farnan has performed with the Canton and Firelands Symphony Orchestras and the Heights Chamber Orchestra. He freelances widely in the area, has taught private electric and double bass lessons, planned and organized public performances, and appeared as a speaker in multiple concerts with Chamberfest Cleveland that included a live broadcast on WCLV and a performance at the Chautauqua Institution. Farnan previously served as Library Access and Public Services Manager and Ensemble Librarian at CIM. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music where he studied classical double bass with Donald Palma.
