Biography

Originally from Uniondale, New York, Donna Russell joined Oberlin College in 2000. In her role as assistant dean for student support at the Academic Advising Resource Center, she fosters students’ academic success through advising, sharing information about academic policies, and identifying relevant resources. Russell also works closely with the associate dean for academic standing to help students who previously experienced a difficult semester rebuild their confidence and create strategies to attain academic success.

Prior to her current role, Russell served as an assistant director at the Career Center, director of the Bonner Scholars Program, academic coordinator for the Upward Bound Program, and as a mentor for Posse Scholars.
