Biography

Identifying opportunities, process analysis, strategic planning, and creating successful pathways have been the backbone of Debra’s career. With over 25 years of business development experience, she has worked with numerous start-up businesses including profit and not for profit segments of industry representing the following areas;  retail, hospitality, publishing, healthcare, tourism, fitness, film production, real estate, and the creation of a 501c3 museum.  Debra came to Oberlin in the summer of 2018 as the project manager consultant to assist with the Academic & Administrative Program Review (AAPR), now known as One Oberlin. After that intensive year-long submersive collaboration with the campus community, she decided to make Oberlin College and Conservatory her home. In addition to Debra's role in Entrepreneurship, she has a successful career as an actress/model with such films as The Enormity of Life  and the Ohio Tourism marketing campaign.
