The Lorain Country Transit is taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers during the coronavirus pandemic. Refer to the new policy .
By contract with Lorain County Transit (LCT), the city of Oberlin provides demand-response public transit service in Oberlin on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Service will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. on Mondays - Fridays. No service on the following holidays: MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples' Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving.
- Call 800-406-7541 to schedule a ride. Riders may make arrangements on the same day or up to two weeks in advance. Persons who are hearing impaired should call 800-750-0750.
- The expanded service area includes the City of Oberlin, and portions of New Russia Township, Amherst Township, City of Amherst, City of Lorain, Sheffield Township, City of Elyria, and Carlisle Township.
- Passengers may also flag down a driver and board the bus without prior call.
