Biography

Beth Logan has been working in mental health since 2009. She has experience providing crisis intervention and stabilization, clinical counseling, assessment and diagnosis, therapeutic groups, and treatment at all levels of care including outpatient, inpatient, residential, and carceral. She joined Oberlin College and Conservatory in 2025 to provide collaborative support for students experiencing urgent mental health concerns, coordinating care with the Counseling and Psychological Services at Oberlin as well as other campus and community resources. She is supportive of disability, race, ethnicity, identity, and sexuality.

As a licensed professional clinical counselor, Beth tends to utilize solution-focused brief therapy (among other theories of therapy) in session to help clients better adapt to the variety of life’s stresses, find their own internal strengths, and improve their ability to navigate life confidently. She has expertise in services for clients with suicidal ideation, autism, insomnia, and trauma. Beth takes a disability and trauma-informed approach to therapy, and has applied this to her programming and training of fellow health professionals to whom she supervises or has provided continuing education.
